Canada will install surveillance cameras around the National War Memorial in Ottawa after three youths urinated on the base of the monument late on the July 1 Canada Day holiday last year.
The government said on Wednesday there will be more guards at the memorial and the tomb of the unknown soldier, as well as crowd-control equipment at the site during Canada Day and other special events.
